Rev. Dr. M. Rayappan
Born to a strong catholic parents in a small village near Sathur in south Tamilnadu, Pastor. Rayappan, grew up as catholic until 1974, when he accepted Christ as his Saviour. Following God’s call, he started his bible college studies at Maranatha Bible College in 1975 and completed his studies in 1977 as the best student of the batch. After his training, he was placed at House of Prayer Church in Dasarpuram, Thiruninravur, in 1977 with the added responsibility of running a Children’s home. He got married in the year 1980 and is blessed with 4 boys, who are all grown up and are in God’s ministries now. In 1991, Pastor. Rayappan, completed his B. Th Serampore University, and started to teach in Maranatha Bible college, in training new leaders for the church. He also served as principal of the bible college for sometime until his health forced his quit the position.
After numerous prophesies and vision, God enabled Pastor Rayappan to started Maranatha Prayer house in Thiruninravur. The church has grown since then, and God opened new doors to move to a new building facility with all the modern equipments. Pastor. Rayappan is a visionary leader and preacher who is a strong in teaching and equipping believers for the work of ministry. Above all, he is a shepherd, who cares for his congregations in a way that enables them to grow and mature in Christ.Honoring his contribution to Maranatha Ministries and his 37 years of Church ministry and forming leaders, Pastor Rayappan was awarded a Honorary Doctorate degree at the Maranatha Ministries Golden Jubilee celebrations in June 2014. His vision and passion is to continue building God’s Kingdom in the world and form tomorrow’s leaders for the Church.
